Fosters Breathing Space News
News…

Here you can keep up with all the latest news from Fosters Breathing Space.

This month, we ask two of the Breathing Space directors 10 questions.

Daniel Foster

Daniel Foster

1. How long does your journey to work take?

I try to personally visit as many of our clients as possible on the way, so sometimes it can take 15 minutes, sometimes 4 hours!

2. What do you always carry with you to work?

Mobile, wallet, laptop, satellite navigation.

3. If you won the lottery would you retire?

I’m in this business for the long term so it would take a huge win for me to retire now!

4. What was your first job and the amount in your first pay packet?

My first job was collecting trolleys and other odd jobs at my family’s garden centre; my first pay packet was my pocket money, probably about £2.50 for the day!

5. What can you see from your office window?

Cows, trees, fields.

6. Do you make time for lunch every day?

I’m a big fan of food so whenever I can I try to make time for lunch!

7. As a business person, describe your three main qualities?

Ability to achieve goals, positive personality and infinite commitment to succeed.

8. What is your favourite plant?

Euphorbia Ingens, commonly known as Cowboy cactus.

9. What is your favourite container?

My favourite container has to be the curved tower, for its strong presence wherever it is placed. Why not take a look yourself?

10. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Meeting sales and growth targets month on month.

3. If you won the lottery would you retire?

No, I’m too young to retire yet. I would invest some of the money into the business; go shopping with some of it and save the rest!

4. What was your first job and the amount in your first pay packet?

My first job was working in a card and gift shop on the weekends and after school, I think my first pay packet was about £18 for a day’s work.

5. What can you see from your office window?

Fields, trees and cows!

6. Do you make time for lunch every day?

Usually, unless I’m out on the road, then work usually takes over as a priority.

7. As a business person, describe your three main qualities?

I feel that I have a genuine passion for our products, great organisational skills and a brilliant eye for detail.

8. What is your favourite plant?

Dracaena Compacta. I love its architectural shape and form.

9. What is your favourite container?

My favourite container is our range of high quality cylindrical plastic containers. I love the broad range of colours which can really create a bold statement.

10. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Each time we install a new job, the satisfaction of knowing that our plants have really made a difference to a client’s environment.
